Volunteering: How to Become A Volunteer?

Join us as a volunteer for The Gift of Soccer Foundation and help bring the joy of soccer to children worldwide. To date our projects have allowed us to send over 40,000+ pieces of soccer gear to 19 different countries on 6 continents, making kids lives a little better by giving ‘the gift of soccer’!We There are many ways to get involved:

Gear Collection and Distribution: Assist in collecting, sorting, and distributing soccer gear to underprivileged communities.

Are you a soccer team that wants to fulfill a community service project? We would love to have you volunteer with us.

Are you traveling abroad on a mission or a trip? We would love to send a carry on with you. Let’s connect to see if we can spread the joy of soccer.

Coaches and Players: If you have uniforms or equipment to donate, we’d love to talk to you about putting them to good use.

National Partnerships: We are seeking national partners for soccer uniforms, equipment, freight and shipping companies, Churches or organizations going on missions, airlines, storage facilities, food establishments, plastic bag suppliers, dental supplies, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. If you have access to these resources, please reach out to us.

What types of volunteer opportunities are available?

Is there a minimum age requirement for volunteers?

Yes, volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Volunteers under 18 need parental consent. There are also family-friendly opportunities available for younger children when accompanied by an adult. We are proud to say we have been the benefactor in events such as Bar Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras, and Senior Projects.

Will I receive training or orientation before I start volunteering?

Yes, all volunteers receive an orientation and necessary training to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles. Gear Collection Volunteers will receive all the necessary documents and printables for a successful event.

Can groups or corporate teams volunteer together?

Yes, we welcome group and corporate team volunteering. It’s a great way to build team spirit while giving back to the community. We often have local soccer teams donate their time as part of their community service commitments. Please contact us to arrange a group volunteering event.
