One of our most successful and heartwarming partnerships is with Janira Tucker, Elohim USA, and the volunteers from Hope Christian School. Together, they make an annual journey to Ecuador to deliver soccer gear and host a soccer camp for eager children.
A Heartfelt Partnership: Janira Tucker, Elohim USA, and Hope Christian School
Every June, Janira Tucker and her dedicated team of volunteers from Hope Christian School embark on a journey to Ecuador, transporting the soccer gear we collect throughout the year. This annual trip has become a cherished tradition, eagerly anticipated by the children in Ecuador who look forward to ‘donation day’ from The Gift of Soccer.
Janira says it best:
“The Gift of Soccer Foundation has reached countless unreached peoples around the world. Their labor of love brings much-needed joy to children living in dire circumstances. The children in this picture are from a small village located in the basin of the Amazon jungle of Ecuador. It took a group of high school students from Albuquerque to cross a large river by canoe and then hike for an hour through the jungle terrain so that they could deliver these gifts of soccer to the children who live there. Thank you, Gift of Soccer, for caring so much for the unnoticed and hard-to-reach lives that now have a piece of your hearts. ❤️❤️❤️” – Janira Tucker, Elohim USA

In 2024, our sixth donation to the children of Ecuador, we saw an overwhelming turnout. Children from remote villages made their way to the distribution site, eagerly waiting for their new soccer gear. The gratitude and happiness in their eyes were unforgettable, reinforcing our commitment to this cause.
Beyond Donations: Empowering Through Soccer Camps
Following the distribution of the gear, the volunteers conduct a soccer camp for the children.
