Medical Go Kits Joins Somos Unidos Foundation
We Are Honored to Join Somos Unidos in their Holiday Tour
The Gift of Soccer Foundation is thrilled to announce its MedicalGoKits Initiative in partnership with the Somos Unidos (NMUTD) Holiday Tour Around the State, combining the love of soccer with a mission to give back to communities in need. As part of this collaboration, the foundation will feature MedicalGoKits, a heartfelt initiative created by Jessie Levandoski, co-founder of The Gift of Soccer Foundation and a pre-med student at the University of New Mexico.
MedicalGoKits will supplement the Holiday Tour by providing much-needed first aid supplies and feminine hygiene products to underserved communities. A donation bin has been set up at the New Mexico United Team Store, to collect these essential items, which Jessie will assemble into kits to be distributed alongside the Holiday Tour’s donations. MedicalGoKits represents just the beginning of Jessie’s efforts to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. This initiative is part of a series of donation drives Jessie plans to lead through the end of this year and into 2025. Locally, MedicalGoKits will support vital efforts like those at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Women’s Resource Center, while also accompanying The Gift of Soccer Foundation’s global donations to underserved communities around the world. The Gift of Soccer Foundation invites the community to participate in this impactful initiative by:
• Donating Supplies: Items such as first aid supplies (e.g., bandages, antiseptic wipes, gauze), feminine hygiene products (e.g., pads, tampons), and small medical essentials (e.g., gloves, hand sanitizer) can be dropped off at the donation bin at the Somos Unidos Store. • Making Financial Contributions: Help fund this initiative to cover the costs of purchasing supplies needed that aren’t collected. Over the past 14 years, The Gift of Soccer Foundation has grown from a simple idea to a global initiative. What began with a love for soccer and a desire to give back has evolved into a nonprofit that has distributed over 40,000 pieces of soccer equipment to communities in need across 19 countries and six continents.
