2022 Donation to Ecuador
Overview
The Gift of Soccer Foundation is proud to partner with Rio Rapids Soccer Club to support a new outreach program to Ecuador. Local soccer teams volunteered their time as part of their community service commitments for the year.
The Rio Rapids’ teams gathered to help The Gift of Soccer collect, clean, sort, and package over 1200 pieces of soccer gear that is headed to kids in the jungles of Ecuador, via Hope Christian High School’s Annual Charity Trip. We provided a dinner as a thank you for their incredible help in this very important project. A special thank you to Global Kinetics for donating 20 indestructible soccer balls for use in the jungles and other remote areas.

The Gift of Soccer Foundation is proud to partner with our local soccer club, Rio Rapids Soccer Club, and individual private donations that are sent to us from many different locations to support our mission.
Suzanne Manke from Morris Elite SC – We are a large soccer club, whom require players both full practice and game kits. Additionally, we may be changing our game jerseys every two years. Our club players range in age from 6-15 years old. I think we could comfortably outfit at least a couple teams head to toe. Including cleats/boots, and balls.

Transport
Members of The Gift of Soccer transported the gear that was collected to Hope Christian School. We are grateful to Janira Tucker for coordinating our donations to be transported to Ecuador with Hope Christian High School’s Elohim USA team Annual Charity Trip. We were happy to be able to provide such a large donation.
Distribution
Janira Tucker and the members of Hope Christian High School’s Annual Charity Trip delivered the gear to the children Feecuador Elohim in Quito Ecuador. These donations are used to provide a soccer camp for the children. The children deeply cherish these donations. We are honored to help those less fortunate players in our worldwide community gain access to basic equipment needed to play soccer. The Elohim USA team traveled deep into the jungle to the most remote Elohim Ecuador location. It is an area where there is extreme poverty and almost no Christian presence (except for Elohim). After arriving, they did their children’s program and soccer camp for about 60 children at a new property that Elohim is opening in one of the larger villages. At the end they handed out soccer gear which was greatly appreciated.
